Since February 2, 2025, Art. 4 EU AI Act has obliged all providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among their employees. Employees must know how AI systems work, what ethical and legal limits exist, and how to use tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot in a compliant and productive way. Prohibited practices under Art. 5 can be penalized with up to 7% of worldwide annual turnover.
