Challenge

The Act for the Better Protection of Whistleblowers (HinSchG) obliges companies with 50 or more employees to set up an internal reporting office, whose operation must be entrusted to independent and competent persons. The reporting office is responsible for acknowledging receipt within seven days, providing feedback within three months, documentation, and protecting the identity of everyone involved. Errors in processing not only endanger whistleblowers, but also lead to fines and to a loss of trust in the entire reporting system.

  • You process reports on time: acknowledgment of receipt, validity check, feedback.
  • You choose appropriate follow-up measures and conduct internal investigations in compliance with data protection law.
  • You maintain confidentiality and document reports in accordance with Section 11 HinSchG.
